Up for your bidding pleasure is a 1989 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo 2 door hatchback! This vehicle has crazy low mileage for it's age, only 64,582 miles on it! Engine has been rebuilt and modified with a balance shaft delete so it's a quick revving 2.5L 4 cylinder with a factory Mitsubishi turbocharger. Transmission has also been gone though and has a shift kit for quick firm shifts. The interior is in really nice shape! Seats are super comfortable and even say "Shadow" on the front headrests! Rear seat is a 60/40 split folding unit. Leather wrapped steering wheel is in nice shape. Factory Chrysler tape deck is present and radio is functional! Boost gauge on the dashboard from the factory works fine. Body is also in pretty nice shape considering the age. Bottoms of the doors and decklid (common for rust/rot) are clean and nice. Floor pans are also solid and nice. Please see the video for a better tour! A/C has been converted years ago and still blows cold! Sunroof flips open and can be removed and stored in the included bag that straps down inside the trunk! The car recently had a new passenger front wheel bearing, radiator, starter, and a Delphi (not a Amazon special) fuel pump replaced.
Issues with the vehicle are mostly cosmetic. It does have a little bit of rust starting in the rear quarter panel area by the ground effects. Various dings, scuffs, etc from being used for 35 years. Also, because it's a white color from the late 80's, the paint has issues where parts of it have peeled and flaked off. The car could really benefit from a respray to look super nice again. Also, the headliner fabric was falling down so it was removed years ago. Power locks are inoperable. Please watch the video!

The car is being offered at no reserve and it is being sold as-is as the warranty expired back in 1992. You're welcome to stop by before the auction ends to take a look at the car. The only reason for it to be sold is my friends are trying to move up to this area (houses are expensive) so anything extra has to go and the car is one of those things. It's a really fun little car to drive and finding one with lower mileage like this is pretty difficult anymore. A non refundable deposit of $200 is required within 24 hours of the auction ending and full payment is required within 7 days. Cash preferred, money order acceptable but I'll have to hold the vehicle and title until it's cleared. I'd be happy to pick you up from the Van Gelder or Greyhound bus stations in Rockford if you want to fly or take a bus out this way to pick up the car. Thank you for bidding and good luck!
