Stock Number: 2001 - 1979 10th Anniversary 4 Speed Trans AM - It is one of only 1,817 to receive the Pontiac W72 400. It was sold new at Scranton Motors in Rockville, CT and has been treated as a collector car its entire life. It has been with the same owner until last year. The underside of this car is in amazing condition. It is the first year the Trans AM Window Sticker would eclipse $10,000. On the heels of the Smokey & the Bandit phenomena and the success GM experienced with the 1978 Special Edition Corvette, Pontiac decided to celebrate the first decade of the Trans AM with a 10th Anniversary Edition. It was also announced that this would be the last year the Pontiac 400ci Engine. This unique car was also selected to be the Pace car for the 1979 Daytona 500!
