EXTERIOR
The exterior of this Bel Air is in remarkable condition. Its restoration features a rich Matador Red finish, originally Sierra Gold, with deep, vibrant paint that shows no significant repairs or excessive body filler. The single-stage Imron paint is in excellent condition, free from orange peel or dry spots. The chrome and trim are flawless, and all glass remains clear. Although the tires are older than the year 2000, they are still in good shape; however, replacing them might be prudent if you plan to drive the car frequently. The convertible top is in fantastic condition and operates smoothly, though there is minor seepage around the pump, potentially due to a leaking line. A few very small rock chips are noted, detailed in our video, but overall, this car is a standout at shows.

INTERIOR
Inside, the interior has been updated from its original Copper Beige to a striking Silver and Red color scheme. The seat vinyls and panels are professionally done, and the overall condition is near perfection. The original visors are in the trunk and ready for recovering with the supplied vinyl. All hardware, switches, and regulators are in excellent shape, with the carpet still like new. The dashboard is beautifully presented with clear, functional gauges. While the Wonder Bar radio is in good condition, it is currently not producing sound. The convertible top switch works flawlessly.

UNDERHOOD / UNDERBODY
Under the hood, you’ll find an era-correct 283ci V8 engine paired with a factory Powerglide Automatic transmission. The Carter WCFB carburetor, appearing to be original, operates excellently. The engine runs smoothly, idles quietly, and is free from smoke or unusual noises, with no leaks. Power brakes and power steering function properly, and the cooling system is in good condition. The underside of the car is a testament to living in a salt free location and being garage kept. The underside is super solid and unmolested. The shock and body mounts are super solid and in excellent condition. We note a small area in the transmission tunnel that looks like it was repaired at some point, non-structural but should be noted. The rails and crossmember are nice and straight and show now signs of repair.

ON THE ROAD
On the road, this Bel Air provides an exhilarating driving experience. It is mechanically sound and inspires confidence, tracking straight and stopping effectively. The suspension is firm with no excess play, and the power steering makes maneuvering effortless. The glass-pack mufflers deliver a fantastic sound under acceleration, and all lights, wipers, and the horn work correctly, making this car a fantastic cruiser.
