1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III-LSCX97. If you are reading this ad copy, you probably already know all about the Silver Cloud III cars, and need not be told of all of the features. Quite simply, it was the best car in the world by far through the 50’s and 60’s. Cadillac was probably #2 and did not come close to the SC3 and its quality and workmanship. Happily, the Clouds are being rediscovered now.The Clouds were so well made they survived high usage and lack of proper maintenance, and still ran. Only a handful of examples were preserved with continuous service and exercise, and record low mileage-maybe 5-8% of all cars. This is the finest example of a beautifully restored Silver Cloud III I think you will find.It was made in 1963 and delivered to its original owner in Pasadena, CA, from dealer Peter Sartori, who ordered his cars with a wood door over the glove box. Otherwise it is a standard specification, with factory a/c installed. It went from the original owner, to another in the Midwest, and then to the current owner through Vantage Motorworks in Florida. Vantage is the nation’s #1 Silver Cloud specialist and prepared this car to be like new. The current owner has taken, in 30 years, the mileage from 29,000 when purchased to 42,000 today. It is Silver (was added some years back) over Mason’s Black with parchment interior (may look tan in photos but it is dark beige Connolly). The paint, woodwork and original leather and rugs are all impeccable. Immaculate no-rust underside. The car has been well maintained and needs nothing to be enjoyed. The original handbook and all tools are present.If you are willing to accept a high miles, poorly restored or maintained car, you can probably find one for half the price of this-forget mine.
