1959 Fiat 1100D, has been converted to Ford 2.3 with Turbo and fuel injection from 1986 ford thunderbird, Engine rebuilt with forged pistons and rods, custom ground camshaft, fuel injected with ecu all from the thnderbird, rest of car is all Painless new wiring harness, Has a Ford World class T-5 , 5 speed manual, has manual rack and pinion steering , has tubular control arms with coil overs
Front has Chevy s10 disc brakes and s10 rear differential with 4:10 gears,
It’s very fast and very fun , gets 38mpg at 65mph, have been on road trips from Seattle
To Idaho and back and Seattle to Eugene Oregon and back, it’s a daily driver if you want it to be
It’s a non intercooled turbo system from the Thunderbird but have an intercooler and piping to upgrade just havnt done, wife lost interest when she got her new Fiat Abarth so it just sits, car is fun to drive and is incredibly fast it will surprise you, on the current tune with 13psi it makes 291hp to the wheels on 91 pump gas.
We love this little car but we have 9 other cars so it’s sad to see it sit at the shop and not be enjoyed
Heater works amazing, all lights and horn works can get in it anytime and just enjoy the drive
Engine oil, rear diff oil, coolant, transfluid, brake fluid, spark plugs and wires all were changed a few months ago has about 30 miles since then
If you are looking for something unique and fun you don’t have to work on this is it
And yes the front doors are suicide doors,
This is not a show car is a 20yr old restoration but looks great and has won best in show in 2 car shows and favorites car in 3 others we didn’t enter they placed the plaques on our windshield parked outside of the show area
