Background:
This
was Al Capone's doctor's car. He is the 4th owner.
“I
am the fourth owner of the Cadillac and purchased it in October 2020. I had the
flat head engine replaced with a rebuilt 1950 Cadillac engine. New gas tank,
sending unit, brakes, rubber brake lines, wheel cylinders, master brake
cylinder and tires. Speedometer rebuilt, new speedometer cable, radio repaired
and works, as does the heater. Was told car has original miles at 57,572.
Bud
Woodard of Bemidji, Minnesota was the third owner who purchased it in 1994 from
Frank Hickerson. Bud was the owner who had the car repainted (PPG Omni
MBC16416c) and had all the chrome redone and all the stainless steel polished.
Frank
Hickerson, a friend of Bud's, was a car dealer/collector from Zumbrota, MN
Mayo, He purchased it from a doctor in Rochester, MN Mayo. I was told from
Bud's mechanic, Dave Erickson, who was a longtime friend of Bud's, that the
doctor was the doctor to Al Capone from 1941 to 1947. My research found that
Doctor Joseph Moore was the doctor to Al Capone when he was released from
prison in 1941.”
