The body is pretty well shot. There are some salvageable parts on it.

Vehicle Details

This came from an estate where the elderly gentleman owned the car for over 50 years. He purchased the car in 1973 and the original owner in 1970 put in a Ford 428 FE motor tri-power. From my understanding the motor has 50,000- 60,000 miles on it. I’m not sure if it has a C4 or C6 automatic transmission. I believe the reared is original to this car. I got the car running about a week ago. Before that I don’t think it ran for awhile. He replaced the middle holley carberator 3-4 years ago to move the car. The transmission works, but the brakes are shot. This has Stelling breathers for the valve covers, two on each side. The newer middle carburetor is hooked up, the 1st and 3rd outer ones are disconnected. I put a battery in this and it fired right up and runs good. The exhaust is shot. This has I believe chrome valve covers, refer to photos. It has a Shelby tri-power air cleaner on it which his family said he repainted 3-4years ago. From the research I’ve done, I had a friend do the measurement on the stroke and it came out 3.98. He then went in the front under the oil filter and there was a number 7E23 which he said the motor is 1967 and the E stands for May and the 23. Is the day of the month. May 23, 1967. The numbers on the manifold he says they put on the 390 motors and the 428. It’s got four holes on each side of the motor for the motor mounts. He took off the valve cover, and it’s got hydraulic lifters. He said it ran really well when we got it started. He also said these motors are very hard to find. It is a big block motor. The battery is NOT included it was his shop battery and he only let me use it to start it. Buyer is responsible for pickup.
