One of 771 to receive the coveted L84 powerplant that year, the car features a numbers-matching 327 Cl, good for 375 HP and 350 lb-ft of torque.
The V-8 was rebuilt by the Heintz Brothers of North Carolina. Spent gasses are handled by a set of N14 side pipes (a $134.50 option back in the day) that will let anyone within earshot know this isn't a run-of-the-mill Corvette.
The engine is mated to an M-20 4-speed manual gearbox, sending its grunt to the direct-bolt, knock-off wheels wrapped in Firestone Super Sports goldline tires. The cabin features a wood-grain steering wheel,fresh carpets throughout the interior.
Occupants are kept cool with the optional A01 Soft Ray-tinted glass, with smooth tunes provided by an AM/M radio with power antenna. Then as in now, this is one red Corvette that'll turn heads at the drive in.
