This was a true barn find! Husband restored it back to original except for fuel pump which is electric. This is a 6 volt system. Might be a few minor things that still have could be added. There is a chip on drivers side glass. I find a few scratches on paint. Engine turns over but I cannot start. Husband used to drive it to local drive-in for lunch, so I don’t think it is anything major but I am trying to give as much information as is possible. Radiator hose I noticed leaked some when I turned engine over, but radiator itself seems to be fine. I am happy to send more pictures upon request. eBay charges a lot to add more picture than I did, so I had to limit number in posting.
Exterior
Beautiful 99.9% original real steel 1928 Chevrolet. Barn find! New wiring harness, cloth wrapped and correct, wooden headliner and steering wheel fresh upholstery. Was original paint, where it had burned through the paint was sanded and primed as you can see in some of pictures but no rust that needed cut out, just surface.8
Interior
Engine turns over, but I have been unable to start. Husband passed away a few years ago. He could get it started as you see in the drive in photo but I have not been able to. I’m not exactly sure which gauges work, but maybe all of them since the new wiring was completed. Wiring harness was custom made to order for this make and model . Fuel pump is electric as the vacuum pump is not reliable in the mountains. I do think my husband said this car could run about 55 mph. Paint is probably a 6, there are a couple of scratches, etc . Vinyls top is “pebble” texture and on great condition, interior is a nylon material that looks like the original mohair. You will have questions that I will be happy to reply to the best of my knowledge and I can send photos as requested. Great over all car!!
