A private Estate offers this  1979 F-150   to be sold to the highest bidder at auction's end.
1979 F-150 4 wheel drive  standard cab style-side  equipped  with 351 V-8 ,automatic transmission, manual transfer case /front locking hubs,  power steering / brakes  and  has the Ranger trim package.
The current owner purchased it  brand new on 12/7/79  from Wilson Ford Co. Ballard Washington to use it for camping and fishing.  This pickup was never used as a daily  driver  and the owner was active  duty serving in the Navy and often deployed  for extended periods of time. Relocated and  titled in California  for 9 years then returned to be titled  again in Washington  in 1986 where its been ever since. On average this truck traveled less then 1000 miles a year.  Last time it was in the  shop  was in 2017. It had 4 new tires installed, alignment   and all new brakes  front and  rear + wheel bearings  and seals at 47,162 miles. Today the truck has 48,402 and has been driven less then 1300 miles  in the  last 7 years.
Every year this truck has its oil changed, washed waxed and  routine  maintenance  performed.  Mechanically  sound , the  suspension  and steering are tight and this truck drives like new.  The interior  had new carpet and padding kit installed because he thought the color  was fading  and a horse blanket seat cover has  protected  the original  seat fabric from any wear. The seat  still feels  new, the interior overall in great shape and the doors open and close with ease.
The body, floors, door sills and bed are in very good  shape , a small dent in the front grille  and a 1hour minor  crease in the rear bedside. Minor  sign  of surface  corrosion in two spots on cab, and minor dings  expected  on a  rig almost 50 years old. Close  inspection  shows just about every panel  on this  truck has been touched  up.   The owner being a career Navy man, was on a mission to make  certain  this  truck had zero exposed metal and every chip, door ding or scratch received touch up paint. The 4 empty factory Ford  touch up kits were proof he was diligent. It's obvious  the paint  work was done to preserve the truck and not for esthetics, but his labor  did an extraordinary  job of protecting this  truck from rust
The owner kept this  truck squared away and  in ship shape.  Care and maintenance were extraordinary  and it's without a doubt one of the better unrestored vehicles I have appraised.

The known defects is a very snall list
,The front glass has 2 older repaired bullseye both in view.
A few spots of minor surface rust,
The choke needs adjustment and requires a few minutes  at first start of the  day before it can be driven.
There is an odor  at tail  pipe of stale gas The heater  controls are stiff to operate.

A final note. This  rig gets an amazing amount of positive  reactions,   comments  and  thumbs  up.
