I grew up around old classic cars and suppose it rubbed off on me. I purchased this 1956 Ford Ambulwagon at an estate auction. My husband was surprised when I told him I had purchased. Lol. But for some reason I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the character, history and style. Little did I know it came with all these parts. Too much to list. It looks like a lot of original, but also parts that have been purchased new, etc. that are still in the original packaging. My husband thinks the parts at this time are worth more than the car. I think they both are of a lot more value than what I am starting the auction at. According to the wooden plaque that I assume went along with it in car shows, there only 2 known to exist at that time it was in the car shows and I think it says 22 built that year. I have the glass windows, door, interior, exterior parts, emblems, etc. PLUS no telling what else. There's a couple of the emergency lights that I've come across (in the photos). And there might be more. There are mechanical parts that go under the hood, but I don't know what they all are. My husband would know more about the mechanical items. I got him to test an old siren, it sounded so cool! The motor was in it when I purchased. I had to have it hauled by a towing company to my house from the estate sale I purchased it at. I wasn't given any history on it. I've just had to guess as to what I think. And the CERTIFICATE OF TITLE is out of the STATE OF FLORIDA. I live in North Carolina. It's a clean title. It was going to be my project car. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to put it back all original OR customize it and keep all the original parts if someone wanted to put it back original. The reason I never did get around to it is medical issues. I have to have surgery on August 29th and I just don't have the time or the capability right now of fixing it back up. I don't want it to sit for too long. Even though I got a protective car cover over it, it deserves attention now and maybe someone can see the rarity and history in it like I did. The BODY is solid. NO RUST that I can see. Someone has taken time to redo the body and repaint it. And, again, looks like someone had been in the process of restoring before it was sold at this estate sale. It has so much potential for so many things. I still have a lot, if not all, the ambulance parts. I just haven't had time to go through everything. I am selling it all as is. In the photos, you will see the original SERIAL NO. tag piece and other information on it. There's also what looks to be the original AMBLEWAGON tag or piece. I do NOT know about the motor whether it runs or doesn't run. I wasn't given any information on it when I purchased. I also purchased as is. Thanks for your interest and looking. We will see what happens with the low starting bid, no reserve I am starting it out at. Again, I'm hoping it will go to someone that can appreciate it like I did, to a good home or can be put back together and showed off again. Thanks for your interest and looking. Buyer will be responsible for picking it up, hauling or getting it and all the parts it came with to its new home.
