When it comes to muscle cars “the 1969 Mustang reigns supreme”!

 

Although super high dollar Mach, Shelby & Boss editions keep people talking “this one receives just as much admiration” (at a user friendly price)! 

 

 

Presented for immediate consideration is a very unique 1969 Mustang custom! 

 

There is a lot that can be said regarding it so I will try my best to be brief.

 

 

I have been a Mustang enthusiast for most of my life.

 

That being said some cars have retained more of a special place in my heart than others.

 

 

There are multiple reasons for that designation.

 

However, this is one such vehicle.

 

I actually stumbled across it several years ago during a car cruise in Hazelwood, Mo.

 

 

The owner was a collector & local businessman from a few towns away.

 

After a conversating I found that he acquired this stallion in the fall of 1987.

 

 

FAST FORWARD:

 

Many moons later (2019) he started “what should be deemed” a very respectable restoration.

 

He & a team of Mustang hobbyist / master apprentices tackled the task vigorously!

 

The facility (where the lion’s share of the work was done) is well known for its professionalism & attention to detail!  

 

Once the pony received a clean bill of health for servicing the platform implementing the new material was underway.

 

The exterior is simply breathtaking!

 

An amazing shade of Lamborghini Centenario Azure blue was incorporated!  

 

The UreChem two stage high gloss metallic paint was thoroughly researched & very expensive to formulate!

 

 

As a result you can’t take the car out of the garage without receiving a great deal of fanfare!

 

Cell phone cameras are always working overtime & thumbs up are always in order!

 

 

The body is smooth to the touch with a deep mirror like shine (almost looks wet in direct sunlight)!

 

 

The factory performance hood scoop boasts true nostalgia!

 

60’s era sport side mirrors help to add the perfect touch.

 

“Hearkens back to the good ole days on route 66”!

   

Keeping things interesting in the beauty department is an amazing bright white vinyl top.

 

It is comprised of a Dacron bonded thread that was dielectrically sealed (for top tier status)!

 

The contrast against the exterior is certainly noteworthy!

 

 It really helps bring the bright indigo exterior to life.

 

Adding yet more flavor are lower GT style side stripes. Again this subtle touch coincides with the exterior wonderfully and truly shakes things up on the outside!  

 

Bumpers front & rear have been refurbished and look just as good as they did day one!

 

All of the other chrome and stainless appointments on this vehicle are in fantastic condition as well (door handles, markers, etc)!

 

The front & back windshield both are in superior condition!

In 69 Mustangs were plagued with the problem of having the door glass fall of track consistently because they were installed at the factory with adhesive.

 

Well…..you have nothing to worry about here. These windows have been removed reinforced and installed with modern upgraded hardware.

 

The quarter ornaments on this pony car look amazing as well (no pitting, rust or damage) restored!

 

A pristine fuel cap rests out back with stellar tail light bezels.

 

This vintage Ford is pleasing to view from all angles!

Now that we have talked about this incredible Mustangs exterior lets discuss what she has to offer inside.

 

 

Upon opening the door of this pony you will find a very inviting interior!

 

This Mustangs interior plays its part well in conjunction with the exterior.

 

The stark charcoal upholstery is in excellent condition throughout the cockpit!

 

The limited edition deluxe Grande style buckets are in like new condition!

 

A matching rear bench with elegant luxury buttons complete the cabin area.

 

You will notice a definite difference the moment you sit inside!

 

The dash pad is original to the car.

 

 It is in fantastic shape and free from damage!

 

The upholstery shop went the extra mile to make the owner happy.   

 

They even replaced the headliner!

 

Brand new loop pile carpet is sealed to the chassis.

 

 

 

It’s easy to appreciate the vehicles deluxe style door panels!

 

Each panel has new window cranks, door handles and other hardware attached!

 

Finally expect to find a super nice custom steering wheel to grip.

 

Even the door sill plates look like new!

 

All & all the interior of this Mustang is in amazing condition!

 

It actually takes you back to 1969 each & every time you climb behind the wheel!

 

Something else that shouldn’t be overlooked easily is the trunk of this pony car!

 

This Mustang has a very nice molded trunk mat that looks fantastic!

 

The trunk rails and inner quarters are rock solid (Must See)!

 

 

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… I will talk about yet why a few Chevy guys hate it! 

 

No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!

  

The heart and soul of this horse is its STOUT factory 302 engine. The factory engine block was freshened up two years ago!

 

THIS PONY RUNS STRONG!!!!

 

The motor has plenty of giddy up and is ready for the open road! 

 

There’s adequate power to push you back in the seat “when the throttle is open”!

 

The car is also very user friendly.

 

She turns over with just a flick of the key at the slightest touch!

 

 

LET’S LISTEN!!!

 

 

 

 

This classic Ford Mustang has an awesome chambered exhaust system!

 

The full length headers paired with & high flow performance mufflers keep this one singing a sweet note!

 

I absolutely love hitting the freeway in this Mustang!

It never seems to want to return to the garage!

 

The car just hums along without issue for hours at a time! 

This one almost has a modern feel to it when considering how well she handles.

 

 Whenever you reach your point of destination she leaves you begging for more!

 

There is a fairly new radiator installed that helps keep it cool under the hood also!

 

Preventative maintenance has not been overlooked either.

The car has recently had new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, water pump, thermostat, gaskets, seals, fuel pump, oil sending unit, alternator, battery, hoses, belts, starter and just too much more too list!!!

 

 

Applying the power to the pavement is a blast!

 

 

Thanks in part to Holley Street Brawler 650 CFM carburetor!

 

Ingesting the juice is an expensive AFR CNC port match street / strip aluminum intake!

 

 

A car like this only comes around every so often!

This Mustang actually performs, handles & drives like a low mileage vehicle!

 

 

The car has had the brake system totally gone through. 

  

 

But that’s not all……To top things off there is a excellent set flawless 15 inch Magnum 500’s wheels!

 

Hugging the metal are spank brand new raised white letter performance tires (only 17 miles on them)!
