I’m selling my blue and white 1974 VW Bus with a camper pop top. It has been a joy to own, and I hope a fellow enthusiast will appreciate it as much as I have.

Clean Title: It’s registered in California but is currently located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was only driven during the summers and has never seen a Minnesota winter, having always been stored indoors in climate-controlled conditions.

Engine: Professionally rebuilt (top and bottom) in 2016, and only driven about 5,000 miles since then. I have receipts. Cylinders were machined with new rods, heads, etc., so the engine was upgraded to 2 liters (it was originally 1.8liters). Crankshaft was also machined, and a new camshaft, new dual carbs, and new linkage were installed. Additionally, the ignition system was upgraded to electronic ignition. Odometer was reset after the engine rebuild, so I don’t know the mileage prior to the rebuild.

Other recent upgrades: The brakes were upgraded in 2018 (discs in front, drums in back), as they were machined, the master cylinder was replaced, and all lines were replaced and flushed. Also in 2018, the shocks were replaced along with all hoses, clamps, and filters.

Condition: The bus has some cosmetic rust in a few places (side air intakes, muffler, exhaust pipe), as shown in the photos. It could also use new window seals, the drivers-side door panel is not fully attached (I believe it just needs new clips), and the sliding door inside handle needs to be replaced (just the plastic handle, as the mechanism works fine). The CD player works, but I haven't been able to get any radio stations to play.

Performance: I always use non-oxygenated, ethanol-free gas, and it cruises comfortably at 55-65mph. It has a 4-speed manual transmission. The clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and gear shifter were professionally replaced in the summer of 2019, with about 2,000 miles driven since then.

Interior: The rear seats fold down into a bed, and I have a mattress for the pop-top. It has real hardwood flooring, and it has the plumbing to install a sink and/or water tank if the next owner chooses to use it for camping.

Sold as-is. I'm more than happy to answer any questions and provide videos to interested buyers. I can also show you the bus in person if you'd like to see it before the auction closes.

Could be the best rolling coffee shop this side of the Mississippi!
