All original Toyota Chinook.

Runs nicely and starts right up. Under the hood is an all original 2.2 liter inline-four with a four-speed manual transmission. It passed CA emissions without an issue and has CA license plates with current tags. It has been stored inside and all signs point to the 22k miles being original.

I’m the third owner. The second owner bought in order to resell and never used it. He only owned it for a month before I bought it from him. It was transferred it to CA in Nov 2023. 

Inside the camper looks practically unused. The cabinets, counter tops and removable dining table are without scratches or cracks. The carpet is clean and the seats do not have any sun damage or tears. The stove works and looks unused. The water tank looks clean and the sink is perfect. The original three way fridge looks great on the inside but the exterior closet shows that the cord looks like it would need replacing, so it remains untested.

Driver and passenger seats have no cracks, fading or tears. The floor board is pristine, again pointing to those 22k miles being original. Though impossible to prove. 

These vehicles are rare. Only 15,000 were ever made between 1974-1979 

Additional notes - 

– The over cab ‘child’s bed’ is in tact with the extra pull out piece present and functional. (Often missing)

– It also has the two hammocks that pull out over the dinette and kitchen windows, they are in tact and functioning. (Prior to owning this one I had only seen them in pictures.)

– The original curtains, including the privacy curtain that snaps up between the cab and camper, are stored under the seats.

– There are two seatbelts for passengers to ride in back.

– The pop top is in excellent shape and easy to maneuver. There are no tears or cracking in the vinyl.
