2017 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 with the 6.0L/4L80 Automatic Transmission, 36K miles/1121 Engine hours.
This is a one-off custom truck that I rebuilt my way to look like the old Silverado's from the mid 80's. It started as a 2500HD WT so it has the classic rubber mat basic interior with a real lever on the floor to engage the 4WD. There are no excessive bells and whistles, but all the desired ones - it has Cruise/Tilt/Power Locks, and Windows, and a built-in back-up camera. I de-badged everything but the grill, custom painted the two-tone blue/white combination, added the old school Silverado trim down the side and added the perfect touch of new style 18" white wagon wheels with white letter A/T tires and leveling keys for that classic 4x4 Chevy truck stance and appearance.
I built this as my/personal work truck to pick up lumber, parts, ect. and pull a car trailer, and equipment occasionally. It has been used as a truck, but not abused. It has Firestone airbags installed with a manual air valve (No pump) in the rear to assist with heavy loads. I built this truck 5 years ago, and honestly it looks about as good now as it did then with the exception of some bed wear, and some misc. dings/chips. It is not perfect as I did actually use it as a truck, but as you can see from the pictures it is very nice and has been well kept. I always stored it inside, and kept it washed in the winter if I needed to drive it.
This truck was bought new, it was wrecked at about exactly one year old with 16K mile on it, and I bought it from a salvage yard as a rebuildable vehicle (considered totaled - got a salvage title). I am technically the second owner that has driven the truck, and have only put another 20K miles on it - this truck will last many more years! I personally fixed everything for me - so there were no short-cuts. All the original wrecked pictures are shown to show what was repaired, so there are no concerns. I did replace the curtain airbags and had the seat belt tensioners rebuilt/reset. The chassis is true, everything works as it should, it doesn't "eat" tires, drives great (it is a 3/4 ton, not a car). I just took a 700 mile trip last weekend in it and didn't think twice as I built it to drive.
