I purchased this car over twenty years ago, it sat for many years before disassembly. It originally was a 283 V8 with a manual three speed trans and factory AC. The full frame-off restoration was completed in 2019. This Restomod has the appearance of a clean but somewhat stock (sleeper) 64 Elco that gets plenty of attention cruising on the street while being fully capable at the drag strip. I decided not to add a roll cage to the car as this would degrade the stock appearance. It has been set-up to run approximately 11.50 second ETs in the quarter mile and is fully capable of passing an NHRA tech inspection for that bracket. It has a relocated battery with rear access cut-off switch, a drive line safety loop and a reverse lockout shifter.
I kept the body stock with the exception of filling the side mirror mounting holes and removing the bottom rocker moldings. The underside of the car has been completely painted the same color as the body, with all black powder coated bolt on parts. I have made some improvements to the interior, but they appear to be stock looking. The engine is a 10:1 compression 355" with forged pistons, Dart heads and Crower camshaft. It is fully street driveable on 89 Octane pump gas and does not get hot.
My name is Dave Lange JR, I competed in the NHRA Super Street class during the 1990s and have built many quality hot rods through the years. I prefer not to waste your time on meaningless showroom pics and fluffy verbage. I have included undercar pics and two flaw pictures at the bottom of the gallery.
Please contact me if you would like all the specs and info on this one-of-a-kind hot rod, there's just too much to list here, I have it all on file and ready to send along with a video.
