Here she is! The one you have been searching for! The 1975 Buick Century "Free Spirit" Indianapolis 500 Pace Car! Buick was selected to pace the Indianapolis 500 in 1975 and produced 1,813 'Free Spirit' Pace Car Editions to commemorate being chosen as the Indy 500 pace car that year. This 85555 original miles survivor retains the original drivetrain and original paint. This local car was purchased brand new at Buck Wisner Buick in Longview Washington and still retains the original License plate frame as show in the pictures. The car comes with lots of original paperwork including the window sticker, indy 500 promotional materials, hurst hatch care manual, original registration and registrations up until 1985 when the car was parked. Pic of original green and white plate with 1985 tabs...The car runs, drives and stops. Clearly you can see she is in need of restoration, mostly rust repair in the floors, trunk, rear glass and other spots on the body. The car was parked outdoors near a large body of water, and in a high rainfall area, it was not kind to her over the years, but with the low miles, and paperwork ,this is a great project to take on. The original graphics were promptly removed by the dealer upon purchase as the new owner was not impressed by them! The only ones that remain are the pin stripes on the sport mirrors. The last photo represents what the car looked like new and is NOT the original car.
