About this vehicle
This vehicle is a rare find as it’s a manual 6 speed transmission. Most are the DSG automatics that can have issues. It’s lived most of its life in Kansas or Oklahoma so the body has no rust issues and is very solid. Great factory silver paint with no signs of clearcoat peeling that is so common in many cars. This has been my main transportation for the last 7 years and I hate to part with it. The top works great which can be an issue with many of these retractable convertibles.Vehicle Details
This 2010 Eos has an excellent body, no rust of any kind and runs and drives good.
The top works great with no issues.
Recently the water pump (5,000 miles ago) and ball joints (500 miles ago) have been replaced as well as the battery (last year). About 10,000 miles ago the PCV assembly and the intake manifold assembly were replaced and I did the walnut combustion chamber cleaning to eliminate carbon buildup these engines can have a problem with.
I also had the dealer replace the clutch and rear main seal at 135,000.
Now the down side, the turbo has failed (according to the dealer) and there’s a slow seeping of oil around the valve cover area. Neither of which prevent driving it but they should be repaired in the near future. I add a quart every oil change due to the valve cover seepage.
Also the seals around the windshield might need replacing. In heavy rains it tend to drip in the corner by the driver’s seat. I’m including a new waterproof car cover.
