Fuego is a Japanese RHD Toyota Land Cruiser fire truck. Factory built by Toyota in 1993 as a dual cab chassis with a tall roof und built out as a fire truck with a PTO pump by Marita.

Imported to the USA in 2020, then sold to us in May of 2021. The Model distinction is  U-HZJ75-MRU with a VIN identification number of HJZ75-0018358. This vehicle is legally registered and has a clear Washington title.

Powered by a Toyota 1HZ 4.2L straight-six diesel engine, manual H55F 5 Speed transmission with HI and Low 4 wheel or 2 rear wheel drive. The odometer reads below 6500 KM

These Fire trucks are equipped with a double radiator set up to prevent overheating during PTO use.

Air to the engine is supplied by a SAFARI snorkel.

The front hubs are self locking.

All original shocks and leaf springs front and rear. Super low miles BF Goodridge KO2 LT 235/85 R16 tires on 16” steel rims with a D shape pattern.

The front of the vehicle is protected by an extended steel bumper to Allow for corner markers and red emergency lights.

Front illumination is provided by stock headlights with side markers.

The rear of the vehicle has been freed of all fire fighting equipment, including PTO pump, all piping and switch mechanisms. The original fire truck fuel tank is temporarily mounted in the truck bed and is 100% operable. I am including a brand new in the box OEM Toyota fuel tank to be mounted under the vehicle.

All door rubber seals and the window seals are in great condition to protect the interior from dust and weather.

Clear plastic protects the rear seats.

The headliner of the extra high roof features multiple zippers to access various spots for cable routing.

A Radio with, USB chargers and a 12V cigarette Adapter is in the dashboard.

The entire floor is covered by a gray floor liner in excellent condition to dampen the engine and road noise  and to protect the floor boards.

Two new 12V batteries were installed to power the 12V electrical system.

A new set of black Toyota OEM side mirrors left and right can be installed on the doors, I already have them .

Manual window cranks operate smoothly.

Over all this vehicle is in almost new condition, zero rust, she drives strong and sounds so healthy.

I have purchased a Australian UTE by Mitts Alloy. It is all Aluminum, welded, not screwed or riveted for years of abuse without rattling. The sides can be removed to use it as a flatbed. The tray features a headache bar with built in spare tire mount. In the front of the tray is a built in  water tank, I think it’s 40 liters, need to confirm. Underneath the tray in the back is a pull out drawer on rollers for extra tools or recovery equipment. An additional hoop is installed on the back of the tray, ideal for carrying surf boards or lumber.

We purchased “Fuego” with the dream to convert her into the ultimate 4x4 farm vehicle. A very unexpected business opportunity brings us to Costa Rica and their very strict import and emissions regulations make it impossible to import a RHD and diesel vehicle of this age. Long story short, we have absolutely no use for this vehicle.

We are pretty gutted to have to part with this vehicle and hope that someone will finish the project.
