1968 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner. This is a 1968 Roadrunner I located in Arizona, a 2 door post. Originally a 383 with a very solid body, and all the original sheet metal which had never been damaged, I put the body and interior through a full restoration. The engine is a new 528 cu. in. Hemi, which I had completely disassembled, balanced and blue-printed. A stronger roller cam and rocker assembly were added, topped off with a special intake manifold and a Holly Pro series 1000 cfm carb. Spent gasses exit through TTI ceramic coated headers, 3.0'' exhaust pipes and two chamber Flowmaster mufflers. The transmission is a modified 727 with a turbo action reverse valve body shifter. A Coan torque converter with a 3500 stall powers the transmission. DTS built the Dana 60 rear end with Tru-Trac 3:54 gears and Strange axles. Front disc brakes by SSBC and big factory drums at the rear provide stopping power. The rear suspension is composed of Calvert split monoleaf springs, adjustable shocks and Cal-Trac traction bars. The front suspension was also rebuilt with heavy duty torsion bars.
The interior is black vinyl with bucket seats. A full set of Autometer gauges keep you informed of what the engine is doing. This car develops awesome power and is lots of fun to drive with very streetable manners.
Extra features: am/fm radio, tilt wheel, and power steering.
The stock Roadrunner hood ( painted like the glass hood on the car) is included.
