1969 Chevrolet C10 Long Bed Pickup

For consignment, a 1969 Chevrolet C10 long bed pick up truck, bedazzled with a number of addon items that render the truck a standout.  These items would have been personally selected and likely DIY installed on this classic 1969 C10 that was adored by its previous owner.

Exterior
This long bed benefits from a coat of light blue paint that's single stage but shines nicely.  It also has nice coverage with a few imperfections that include bubbling, some scuffs, and some scratches.  The chrome bumpers and flat grille with Chevrolet emblazoned crossbar with driving lights are in good shape as are the 15-inch chrome Wagon wheels with bowtie wearing mock knockoffs.  And those knockoffs are the tip of the iceberg for added accessories.  Let's start at the front where amber fog lights ride the bumper and above it, a blue plexiglass bug guard on the nose with Chevy Heartbeat decals.   Around the windshield we have spotlights, extra side mirrors and a Lund style visor with cab lights on top.  A chrome rain guard hovers over the side windows and a chrome handle on the back of the cab helps with climbing up, which is also eased with the aluminum running board with builtin front mudflaps.  Speaking of mudflaps, Chevrolet flaps are mounted behind the rear tires and a tall bumper guide pole rises from the rear.  Diamond steel plates top that bumper and a chrome exhaust deflector peeks out from underneath.  The black vinyl tonneau cover over the well used bed is in great condition.

Interior
Two shades of blue cover the inner doors and show some patina on this well loved but otherwise clean truck.  Two shades are also found on the vinyl bench seat, also showing some use but not bad.  The standard steering wheel is cracked in the center, but the rim is wrapped in vinyl and houses a spinner knob to make turning easier.  The dash is standard but now contains a thermometer in the center, a volt gauge underneath, and a CB radio!  An aftermarket AM/FM radio in the blue metal dash and an A/C unit is mounted underneath.  A Hurst floor mounted shifter rises up, surrounded by a rubber mat that covers the floor along with some carpeted floor mats.  Above our heads, the body colored metal roof is uncovered and clean while the visors look fine.

Drivetrain
Under the hood, a driver quality 250ci inline 6 cylinder putting out 155 horsepower and wearing a 1-barrel carburetor.  A Saginaw 3-speed manual transmission is underfoot and sends power to the 12 bolt rear axle.  Drum brakes are at all four corners.

Undercarriage
The pleasantly sparce underside is driver quality as well with some surface rust, some oil on the pan and transmission, and some drips on the rear differential.  Typical soot and grease by the wheel components but no invasive rust to speak of!  A single exhaust enters a stock style muffler before snaking its way to the rear and being crowned with the chrome deflector.  The spare tire is in place underneath and we'd guess it might be from 1969.

Drive-Ability
This well maintained truck starts right up and rolls its long bed on to the test loop in all its retro accessorized glory.  She's no speed demon but the six cylinders chug away with eager ambition and easily move this pickup across our course, and it's a fine ride indeed where we find only the reverse light non operational.  All other functional items work as intended.  While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

This truck has more character than many we see and has some useful accessories to make your driving experience more enjoyable.  We can already think of some fun things to do with the spotlights!  Meanwhile, it's a great little work truck that is of a classic vintage and would likely be welcome at car shows too!  Want more of a stock look?  All of the accessories bolt off if that's the direction you wanted to go.  As is, the blue beauty is ready for its next caretaker.
