1998 Nissan Stagea 25tx 4 RB26 700hp+ 6 speed Dogbox
Potentially one of the baddest and fastest Nissan wagons stateside, this fully tuned Stagea is not for the faint of heart but still has the ability to be the "Family GT-R"
The heart has been transplanted with a fully built RB26, N1 block, built head, huge cams, and a counter balance crank.
The turbos fitted are a pair GT3037s…. yes 2 of them.
Twin wastegates, intricate fuel system, beautifully polished plumbing from the turbo system to the hardlined fuel system.
Capable of making 900+hp it has been detuned for our fuel to roughly 700hp after a full service and tune revision by Power Vehicles and Oki from Team Orange.
9k RPM head comes on boost later to favor spinning higher RPM and feels like a whip.
When the wastegates crack open you hear dual 3-1 manifolds instead of the more traditional sound of a 6-1 single which provides a unique tone to say the least, one that is reminiscent of the cracking of a whip. To put things shortly it is violent.
Full suspension, brand new A052’s and 1.5 way diff’s puts the power down extremely controlled, nothing feels sketchy or off. Just shoots straight unlike some high power 90’s cars.
This car was notoriously fast. Faster than most drag GTR’s at Sendai highlands (where this car was enjoyed) and arguably the fastest Stagea to come from the east ever.
The 6 speed dogbox matched to the triple disc clutch ensure safety for this power level and weight. Drivability is surprisingly well, with great street manners.
Of course a dogbox isn’t the easiest to jump into for your first go at RHD but can be perfected and many deem this a challenge to learn the art of this box. The box will need to be serviced.
The body retains much of the original paint, fenders have been flared using metal to fit GTR spec BBS LM’s and have been lightly repainted and metered with little to no body work.
The body kit has a subtle yet aggressive look, we prefer the non 34 front end unlike the hype.
An extremely rare Freeway Dolphin rear spoiler and genuine ganadors(the mirrors do have some of the clear coat coming off and could use a refinish) have also been fitted to the exterior.
An incomparable piece, guaranteed head turner and conversation piece anywhere you go. This car was clearly someone’s pride and joy. Not to be associated with most of the normal imported Stagea's, we’re looking for someone who feels the same way and will continue its legacy.
