Hello eBayers.

I’m called, “Gertrude!”

I am a breathtaking example of what might be called, a reliable and beautiful German Tank, a 1983 Mercedes 300D Turbodiesel Sedan. One look and drive and you may say that I am bullet proof!

I’ve been lovingly cared after since 1988 here in central Virginia, over 36 years and have 207085 documented miles.

I was owned by a local scholar who was a well-known professor in this area. I was driven to the university where he taught, up until the past several years, when my owner decided to take retirement. I was looked at and adorned in the driveway over the past several years.

I am a neighbor who came by the neighborhood visiting when I met the scholar outside.

He told me all about his love for the "Gertrude" and just liked looking at her out his window. He told me how well he cared for “Gertrude!” and had the records. 

I told him it would be a shame not to get "Gertrude" back in shape and offer her to someone who can enjoy her. 

An owner that could love this incredible testament of German strength!

So, I took the car and had my friend, a diesel expert on Mercedes, go through the 300D top to bottom.

A picture is almost worth a thousand words. The records and no accidents on the Carfax, proof its worth. 

Here is what was recently done to "Gertrude." Here is all that warrants your consideration!

1.       Gertrude is rust free, no rust anywhere.

2.       Tires are brand new, Lionheart, special order, 205/70R 14.

3.       Brakes and calipers and fluid brand new.

4.       Battery is brand new.

5.       Sound system is new.

6.       Vacuum lines are new.

7.       Alternator is brand new.

8.       Injector lines replaced.

9.       Shock mounts in Air filter are new.

10.  All fuel filters and oil filters are new.

11.  R12 to R134 conversion was just done.

12.  AC blows cold.

13.  Odometer cluster lighting renewed.

14.  New fitted dash pad.

15.  New Mercedes floor mats.

16.  New inspection sticker.

17.  New front glass windshield.

18.  Brand new front glass molding.

19.  Sunroof works, windows work (new regulator driver’s side window).

20.  New first aid kit.

21. New glow plugs.
