Nice 1956 Ford Thunderbird, runs and drives great!. This is an original, mostly unrestored car with an old repaint done decades ago. Numbers matching car with the optional 312 engine and automatic transmission.
This car has traces to Marina Del Ray located south of Santa Monica California, the end of Route 66. Decals in rear window show this and car was last registered in CA in 1991.
This is a solid tight car in every respect. Acceleration and braking are both excellent, engine does not smoke or make noise. Transmission shifts smoothly, windiows operate as they should. AC is cold, lights, wipers and heater all work correctly. No convertible top with this car.
The body paint is fair on this car. It needs a repaint but looks good 15 feet away. Worst spot is the top side of driver front fender where some plastic appears to have been used, not a rust spot, maybe a dent repair. The paint issues are mostly widespread fine cracking.
Being sold by a Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM dealer of 51 years, inspections during normal business hours are available.
