1959 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster

Here is a beautiful 1959 Corvette Roadster in amazing condition inside and out. We recently acquired this car right here in Paradise Valley, AZ. It was owned by the same family for the past 39 years. The gentleman's father bought the car in Sacramento, CA in 1985, and it was originally a black plate California car from new. He then brought the car to Arizona shortly after the family moved here. Believe it or not, this car has not been touched cosmetically since the early 1980s and looks as if it was restored just a few years ago. A true iconic, factory Roman Red on red Corvette with Ermine White coves-it doesn't get better than this.

It has one of the nicest bodies I have seen on an early straight-axle Corvette in a long time. This is a true un-hit car with all original fiberglass, an original front clip, and amazing gaps all around. The correct Roman Red paint finish shows excellent with a smooth-as-glass finish. You would never guess that it was painted over 40 years ago. All the chrome and trim look equally as nice and show beautifully.

After the car was passed on to him from his father, he wanted to make the car mechanically perfect. From 2018 through 2020, he spent over $30K mechanically at a local Corvette shop. He aimed to keep the factory look and feel with updated power and reliability. They installed a rebuilt 383ci V8 engine backed by a Tremec 5-Speed, an aluminum radiator, rebuilt front end, brakes, etc. The car is turnkey, ready to go, and an absolute blast to drive.

This is the first time this car has been for sale to the public in decades. We acquired it from the long-term owner through a mutual friend. He just didn't use the car anymore and wanted it to go to a good home. It is a great car all around that was very well taken care of its entire life, and it shows. Current Condition:

Beautiful Roman Red paint finish that shows wonderfully, with a couple of small chips touched up over the years. You would never guess that it was painted over 40 years ago.
The paint finish is smooth as glass as well as the body.
Perfect, unhit body with excellent fit and finish.
All chrome and trim on the car show wonderfully with a sparkling shine.
The interior could possibly pass as original but is believed to have been partially redone years ago. It has a couple of small cosmetic imperfections on the door panels & dash pad upon close inspection, just due to age.
This car received a cosmetic restoration over 40 years ago of a nice, original black plate California car.
The car shows 97K miles, believed to be original.
Excellent glass throughout.
The rubbers on the car are good, though the rubber around the windshield is showing some age.
Original wheels with mint hubcaps and correct wide white wall tires.
The soft top frame appears to have been completely restored recently with a nice white canvas top.
Inside the trunk is original with its original mat and spare.
Mechanically, the car was completely gone through from 2018 to 2020.
It features a rebuilt 383ci V8 engine backed by a Tremec 5-speed manual, making it a blast to drive.
The entire brake system and cooling system were completely rebuilt.
The front suspension was completely rebuilt.
The underside was fully cleaned and detailed.
All new custom dual exhaust system.

At Close of Auction

All Arizona Buyers must pay 7.9% sales tax!
