Beautiful 1971 Buick Riviera! I purchased this (all original) Rivi out of Montana in 2021. I had it professionally repainted it in 2022. Original paint was stripped, all minor body work was addressed, the car was then primed, base coat/clear coat was applied, was then color sanded and buffed (Color was changed from original beige.). The car is straight as an arrow and the paint is smooth as glass. Not 1 dent, ding, scuff, chip or scratch. It looks beautiful, truly an eye catcher!

New tires, carpet, sill plates, front seat and upper door panel upholstery. New door, roof rail opening, jamb and trunk weatherstriping. New chrome valve covers, air cleaner, recent spark plugs, wires and oil change. Engine runs strong, it drives smooth and straight down the road. Steering is tight, brakes as it should.

While this is an absolutley stunning car, it is not a, perfect #1, concourse car. But could be, if that's the direction you'd like to go.

Pros:
1st year and most desirable boattail Rivi.
Recent, high quality, paint job.
Straight, solid body, frame and floors.
Beautiful interior.
Engine runs strong, it's mechanically sound and dependable.
Very nice original wheels. Not show, but very good driver quality.
Many new items as mentioned above.
Great investment. Value will continue to climb.

Cons:
Needs exhaust manifold gasket on passenger side. It has gradually gotten worse.
Rear bumper is average driver quality. It has faded in areas and has some pitting.
Right rear tail lamp bezel is flaking.
A/C is all there, but not blowing cold.
Trans has a small drip at r/f corner of the pan (needs new gskt). Also a drip coming from flywheel cover. Most noticable when sitting for long periods.
Slight color difference with replaced interior upholstery, due to the original, while still very nice, having had faded a bit.
Both lower door panel arm rests have been repaired. They look good, just not perfect.

Sorry if my description is a bit long. But I try to be as honest as possible when selling a car. I feel that especially necesary here on ebay. I want the buyer to know exactly what they'll be getting and be happy with their purchase. I have some photos prior to paint if interested. More photos can be made for serious buyers. Just let me know what you'd like to see.

F.Y.I. I still have the original valve covers and air cleaner if the buyer wants them.

I've owned several Rivieras over the last 35 years (yrs 65-77). But this was my first boat tail. I've really enjoyed driving this beauty around the past 2.5 years. But I recently bought a 67 442 convertible. My time and money will be going towards that now. So I've decided to sell this beauty.

***Please keep in mind, this is not a desperate, must sell situation. So no low ball offers please.***

Please have all funds available and ask any/all questions before making an offer. I am open to reasonable offers near my asking price. But, considering it's insured for $40k, there are others here on eBay for $52k and $50k,  I feel my asking price is fair. Payment as follows. Deposit through eBay. Balance due by cash in person, cashier check or wire transfer. The vehicle and title will not leave my possession until all funds have cleared with my bank.

Transport is the responsibility of the buyer. But I can help the transporter load the car if necesary. 12-24 hour notice before pick up is appreciated. I am very close to major highways. So it will be an easy pick up.

Thank you for viewing.
