About this vehicle
i have a collection of trucks i’m looking to sell i’m trying to list them one by one. condition is across the board in the collection ranging from museum pieces to farm trucks to projects. this truck is particular is what i’d consider a farm truck. it’s is great usable condition for work, it’s mechanically solid and doesn’t leave you stranded. i haven’t ever had to put a battery charger on it since i’ve owned it. it’s always started up for me.Seller's Notes
i’ve enjoyed owning this truck it’s been reliable and easyVehicle Details
1978 cheyenne k20 in unrestored condition auto trans,
350 engine radio works 4x4 works. mechanically sound.
visually speaking the truck is due for some restoration work. being that i own a restoration shop i’m qualified to give some pointers as to where id focus some repairs with somewhat of budget in mind.
i’d first start with just replacing the bed as it’s been used as a concrete hauler so it’s a bit too far gone if you wanted to repaint it. luckily beds can be found for reasonable prices at least in my part of the country. next up i’d replace the rusted out rocker portion on the drivers side. it’s not a sever rust out so the floor doesn’t need work and even doesn’t need the full rocker replaced. next up some small patch work on the cab corners, no major incisions require just small patching. then plenty of body work and you’re off to the races not far from having an affordable nice vintage truck.
