One of the best spec’d 500SLs for sale, period. Classic green on brown exterior/interior combo. This car turns heads, people will give you a thumbs up while driving it around. It’s a common occurrence to see people stop to look at the car and take pictures when it’s parked. Young, old, men and women.
OEM Pre-merger 18inch AMG monoblock Aero 2 rims (valued at $6000+ on their own) sitting on 285 rear and 265 front tires, giving it an excellent muscular and meaty stance that further accentuates the cars timeless design. OEM+ functional Quad AMG exhaust tips. Rare to see an r129 with this setup, you’re not going to find another Spec looking as good as this in Ontario or likely in Canada.
Car has an inozetek midnight green wrap that has been ceramic coated, looks like paint with strong metallic flake that is very visible in person, especially when the sun hits it. People are shocked when they’re told it’s a wrap. Original paint is Smoke silver metallic as shown in pictures and is in good condition.
Car is a pleasure to drive, 320hp gives it a nice kick. Great highway cruiser and excellent around town.

It’s not uncommon that components of the fuel system have become or are on their way to being rusted due to condensation. This severely affects vehicle performance and reliability.
This car has been future-proofed well.
Faults: ??Automatic soft top roof sequence is not currently working, however the soft top can still be put up and down manually. The hydraulic pump is functional and works. A failed hydraulic pump is the most expensive and difficult failure to fix for an inoperable automatic soft top on SL 500 r129s, this car does not have that problem. I haven’t further diagnosed the issue because I haven’t felt the need - much prefer how the cars look with the hardtop vs soft top. Hard top can still be removed to have open air convertible experience.
Passenger side window regulator needs to be replaced. Which is a relatively simple repair for this car. You can easily find regulators on eBay. Approximate cost for repair is $350 including labour. I have my mechanic that can come to you and do the installation at your residence if you reside in the GTA, or you can go to his shop in Markham.
Faults have already been considered when determining pricing.
I'll be leaving the country for a prolonged period of time, hence why selling. Looking for another great home for this pride and joy to belong to.
