1970 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T
ROTISSERIE RESTORED, U-CODE, MAGNUM 440, PS, PDB!!
This car is better than when it was on the assembly line. The body is amazing and it appears to be all original sheet metal. Looking down both sides, it is laser straight. The factory color, Plum Crazy Purple (FC7) paint is very smooth and has a glossy finish. All of the chrome and brightwork is shiny and in excellent condition. It rides on a set of 15” Rally’s with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires 235/60/15 in front and 275/60/15 on the rear.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its date coded 1970 440 Magnum ci big block. The engine has a 1970 casting date 1-18-1970 and casting number 2536430 which is consistent with a 440 ci RB series big block V8. It has the correct dual snorkel air cleaner, finned Mopar valve covers, aluminum intake manifolds, MSD ignition, correct 4 core radiator with fan shroud, newer cadmium plated brake booster with newer dual master cylinder and power steering. The engine bay is painted the same as exterior color with a nice glossy finish.
The black interior is new from the headliner to the carpet. The instrument panel and factory gauges are in excellent condition. There are no cracks, damage or cuts in the dash pad. It still has its original AM radio. The door panels, door handles and window cranks are in great shape. Some other features include a three spoke steering wheel and a pistol grip shifter. The center console is in great shape as well.
The undercarriage looks better than new! You can tell it was flipped on a rotisserie. The rust free floors, rockers, frame rails are all the same color as the body. Everywhere you look, it is new. Looking up at the engine, it is clean as well as the 727 Torqueflite 3 speed automatic transmission. It also has a new fuel tank, front disc brakes, fuel lines and brake lines. There are upgraded disc brakes on all four corners. The E-brake assembly is hooked up and working. It features a Dana 60 Sure Grip rear end.
The trunk is all clean metal and painted the same as the exterior. There is a trunk mat and jacking instructions decal.
If you are looking for the best this is it! This U-code Challenger is no disappointment. No expenses spared from the body restoration to the paint.
