The 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe Coupe in stunning red exterior paint is a true classic car enthusiast's dream. With a manual transmission, 6 cylinders, column shift this vintage beauty offers a unique driving experience. This Canadian-made vehicle has an odometer reading of 45386 miles and was built in Canada using the Chrysler "big" engine 218 cu in, making it a rare find for collectors. Perfect for anyone looking to own a piece of automotive history, this Plymouth is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.

Great looking car with no dents and nice shiny paint. Starts quickly and runs smooth and quiet, no bad noises or smoke. Interior is clean but needs seat upholstery under the blankets. Tires have lots of tread, clutch is good, brakes work but pull to the right sometimes. Overall great condition, a fun cruiser or excellent start for a cool custom.

Please look closely at the pictures, the car isn't perfect of course but it's a BIG head turner and a lot of fun! Last time I took it out, it was parked in front of a friend's house and 3 different people came up and took pictures of it including a couple selfies :) Maybe there was a car in a movie that looked like this? I don't know but people sure like it!

The body and paint looks good but there are small flaws here and there, not sure how long ago it was painted but it still has a decent shine. The interior is all original as far as I can tell and in good shape except for the seat covers which is why the blankets are on the seats. Still very comfortable and we actually prefer it this way! The car has been converted to 12 volts with a new 12 volt battery, 12 volt starter and exterior lights. I have the interior dome light assembly for it. Radio, wipers(has electric wiper motor) and signals (new signal switch) all not hooked up, a bit of wiring attention needed. Woodgraining on the dash and window garnish moldings appears to be original and it is great shape!

Whitewall tires are Remington bias plys of unknown age, tread is like new and they aren't cracked or checked and the tend to follow every groove in the pavement. A new set of radial would transform the way the car drives I'm sure. Brakes are drum on all 4 corners and work ok but the right front pulls sometimes, could use an adjustment. Car has a lot of bright trim and the shine is great, glass is good with no cracks or rock bruises and all 4 window roll down and up. Trunk lid is spring loaded and opens and shuts easily.

Overall it's a great fun way to get into the classic car hobby at a low price with a great looking car, and with a bit of tinkering have a car that you can take anywhere, but it runs and drives right now! The car is located on Vancouver Island BC one hour north of Nanaimo. I would recommend that it be shipped on a truck or trailer, at least until you've had a chance to go through it and get the signals working etc. I have a flexible schedule and will work with you and your shipper to get it loaded safely.

Cash on pickup is ok if you are picking the car up within 48 hrs as long as the deposit is paid. If you are shipping the car, you will need to complete the sale by bank to bank transfer of funds.
