THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new owner is this vintage 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SEL sedan! Finished in metallic charcoal over grey leather, this long wheelbase W126 sedan has been driven just over 70,000 Carfax-certified miles since new. It features electric windows and sunroof, alloy wheels with near new Bridgestone Ecopia rubber, heated front AND rear seats and the rear seats still recline too! Other equipment includes cruise control, airbag, ABS anti-lock brakes, carpet mats, rear seat footrests and more. This nearly four-decade old classic is being sold with clean and clear California title, current registration and will be smogged for purchase by a California buyer.

THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1986 Mercedes is in GOOD TO VERY GOOD condition overall with a deep lustrous shine to the paint finish and chrome trim pieces. There are a few long light scratches down the side of the car, some paint checking on the left front fender along with a few minor nicks, scratches and other light cosmetic blemishes as one would expect from a 38 year-old vehicle!

THE INTERIOR

As I hope is clearly articulated here in the photos, the cockpit of this non-smoker Benz is in VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT original condition overall with nearly all systems and controls in excellent working order. There is some light wear on the upholstery, the slightly tattered stereo is sitting in place but not connected and the antenna is inop. The anti-lock light is illuminated currently.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This '86 560SEL starts easily and runs very well with strong torquey V8 engine, smooth shifting transmission, secure straight braking and a vault-like highway ride. There is a slight exhaust manifold flutter and some typical old Benz door panel creaking in this still stately Autobahn cruiser!
