You’re looking at a lifted, v8 4x4 1978 International Scout also known as the Scout 2.
This Scout starts right up, runs, drives and stops with good response and pep for a classic 46 year-old Scout. The Interior has ALL NEW seats and upholstery and also brand new full interior factory style carpet.
This is a CONVERTIBLE TRUCK !! The top comes completely off for an open-air drive, or beach cruise! The last few photos are of the body mounts and windshield frame which are in great shape (Usually these areas are rusted to bits, especially up north in the snow) The body is also in great shape and the frame is solid and almost completely rust free (see pics for condition).
The truck is well built from the factory and has the original, big V8, 345 cubic inch motor and original 3 speed automatic transmission. All the gears and reverse work on the transmission and has an upgraded dual stick-operated transfer case featuring Hi/low 2wd and 4wd and it all works. The dual stick allows you to go full front wheel drive for cornering on the trails. It also has power front disk brakes that are cross- drilled and vented for upgraded performance on a dana 44 front and dana 44 rear drum axle.
The Scout’s alternator and charging system work and keep the new battery charged. It has working headlights, wipers that work with the original switch that also park correctly. The turn signals and hazards work. The brake lights and dim/bright lights work. The truck comes with a horn that works like it should by pushing the horn button thanks to all the new parts installed. The top has limo black tint on all 3 windows.
The Scout comes with new tires (315 /70/r17 or 34 inch tires ) that are in excellent condition and that have less than 500 miles on them. The scout has the transmission rebuilt and transfer case rebuilt .

This is not a show truck, it has some imperfections in the paint, , may need final tuning to get it to the way you like it. The car is 46 years old and is sold "as-is, no warranty", it will not handle like a new Honda or Toyota. I have driven it down the street several times to test things out and adjust the brakes. it always gets attention whenever I have it out. The $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours after the auction has ended and full payment is due within one week. I accepts Zelle and Venmo, for the deposit.
