Please call Tyler directly at 513-349-7163 with any questions about this car.Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this stunning 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in great driver condition. This Monte Carlo looks fantastic, runs great, and drives awesome. The car is finished in the beautiful color combination of Golden Brown (57) exterior over Covert Vinyl (734) interior. This is the correct and original color scheme verified by the codes on the trim tag pictured in this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Monte Carlo that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. While this Monte Carlo does not have the original engine, it has a more modern 350ci GM Performance crate engine. The 1972 model year is desirable and sought after from the first-generation Monte Carlos. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as these A-Body's are appreciating fast and the market on them is very hot right now, especially for such nice examples like this car. As a side note, this Monte Carlo is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Chevrolet, just give us a call. ExteriorThe Golden Brown (57) exterior is in nice driver condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a good gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. Both doors open and shut well and feel great when you close them. The chrome Crager wheels are in excellent condition with a brilliant finish and no curb rash. The Mastercraft white letter tires have plenty of tread left and are sized 215/70R15. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. There are some small blemishes around the car that were too small to show up in the pictures, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. There is some bubbling around the sail panels and some bubbling in the paint here and there. Overall, the car looks/sounds solid. We have included many photos of the underside of the car and photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how it looks. InteriorThe Covert Vinyl (734) interior of the Monte Carlo is in great condition. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the gauge lenses are clear. An SS tachometer has been added to replace the clock. The carpet has also been changed from brown to black and looks brand new. The seats look in person as they do in the photos with no holes, split seams, or excessive wear. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area where the driver gets in and out, there is just one small spot of wear in the bead in that area. The door panels are in nice condition overall with no cracks or splits and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash looks great with no splits, sun fading, or cracks. Both seat belts work and retract properly. This is a common problem on this era Monte Carlo and an issue many buyers do not think to check. This Chevy has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes. The truck is clean and comes with the spare and the jack. Chevrolet interiors from this era are not known to wear well over the years and the nice condition of this interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care this car has received throughout its life. MechanicalThis Monte Carlo is in great mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The 350ci V8 crate engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Monte Carlo has plenty of power. The Carburetor could most likely use some adjustment as the car appears to run rich at idle. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and highly detailed as one can see in the photos. The 350ci GM Performance crate engine is more reliable has much more power than the factory engine. The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, indicators, and wipers. The blower for the heater works on all speeds. All of the gauges work, along with the added oil pressure/water temp gauge. The car has a very healthy exhaust note as one can hear in the video. This Monte Carlo is a factory a/c car, but the a/c was removed when the crate motor was installed. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car. Overall ConditionOverall, this 1972 Monte Carlo is in great driver condition. Good examples of the first-generation Monte Carlos are hard to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. Although this Monte isn't perfect, it is an amazing cruiser that looks fantastic going down the road. One could easily bring this car to another level with some minor TLC. This Monte Carlo always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of first-generation Monte Carlos have increased dramatically over the past years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
