This 1946 Chevrolet Grain Truck is a classic piece that will surely spark nostalgia. With its blue exterior and brown interior, this 2-door truck is a one-of-a-kind find.
My grandfather bought this truck new, and then eventually sold it to my uncle. At some point my Uncle stopped using it, and just parked it in his barn. Ever since I remember, this truck was parked in the barn, so that would be from 1970's or even earlier. My Uncle has passed away, and it's time to give this truck a new home.
The truck is un-restored, essentially complete. This has a lift bed, which I believe is hydraulically powered, but I cannot verify that 100% at this point in time. This would make an excellent project vehicle, very clean panels with minimal rust. This flatbed has a lift and is all compete. The truck has the complete drive train, including PTO for the lift.
We do have the spare tire that is mounted underneath the bed in the back, it is jus not shown in the photos.
The interior was unfortunately chewed away by mice while it was parked in the barn.
The tires still hold air and roll, but for safety this truck should be trailered. The vehicle is currently located on our farm that is half way between New Bedford and Tampico, Illinois.
We have the IL title, and the bill of sale from when my Uncle bought it from my Grandfather.
