I'm not a dealer. This is a personal car. I purchased this car in 1972 and this car has not been winter driven since then. This car has always been insured and driven by myself. It was restored in 2015.
This stunning 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible is finished in "Red Fire Metallic" over a red interior and is powered by a numbers matching 400 c.i. V8 mated to a numbers matching Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. The convertible top which is black in colour is new, as is the rear window, well, weatherstrips and pads. The front windshield is new. The seats have been recovered in cloth and vinyl for a mild custom touch. The carpets are new as are the door and window weatherstrips.
The heads are new "Edelbrock Performer" aluminum 88cc models. The intake manifold is an "Edelbrock" aluminumtype with a "Fast EZ-EFI" fuel injection kit. The original heads and original carburetor are included. The original transmission has been rebuilt and has a brand new torque converter.
The "B.F. Goodrich Radial TA" tires are installed on "Crager SS" chromed wheels.
A new fuel injection type fuel tank, fuel pump and new heater core were installed. The entire front end was rebuilt during the restoration and disc brakes were added to the front. The car has power brakes, power steering, power windows and a power top.
The dual exhaust system has new ceramic coated "Hedman" headers and new "Magnaflow" mandel bent stainless steel exhaust pipes with custom made stainless steel tips.
The odometer shows 7,186 miles which is 107,186 miles. The mileage was 106,241 when the car was restored in 2015.
This car is advertised for sale locally and the auction could end at anytime without notice. This car will not leave my possession unless 100% of the funds are received in my bank account. I strongly suggest travelling to see the car, to inspect or test drive before purchase.
