The 1967 Corvette C2 coupe remains an enduring symbol of American automotive excellence, representing a pinnacle of design and performance from the golden era. Automotive pioneers such as Larry Chenoda, John Delorean and Zora Arkus Duntov were among the few at GM who designed this groundbreaking sports car from the ground up. With only 8,504 coupes produced for 1967, indicating the final period of the mid-year Corvettes.
A true benchmark example of the mid-year C2 Corvette Stingrays. This Marlboro Maroon Stingray was originally sold at Shalla Chevrolet INC out Detroit, Michigan back on January 19, 1967. Purchased new by GM Engineer, David Kimball and stored in a climate-controlled environment for the past 40 years. Supported by a well-documented ownership history of its four previous caretakers.
Presented here today displaying just 5,983 miles from new in 100% original unrestored condition. Making this one of the lowest mileage C2 Stingray “Survivor” examples to remain in existence with the big block V8 427/435 sitting under the Stinger hood. Equipped with the following options: L71 427-cid, 435-hp tri-power V-8, M21 close ratio four-speed transmission, Posi-traction axle, F41 special suspension, N11 off-road exhaust system, shoulder harness, transistor ignition, AM/FM radio and Rally wheels wrapped around 775 x 15 redline tires.
This collector grade survivor still retains its original interior and original drivetrain with factory stampings. Granted multiple NCRS awards, Top Flight Status and more recently validation of its original Tank Sticker by the NCRS. With the additional bonus of Bow Tie Signoff for eligibility of judging at the next national's event for the new owner.
