North Dakota since new

This is our 1967 Volkswagen Beetle, a 4-speed coupe with 43,517 miles on it. Originally purchased new from Courtesy Motors in Bismarck, it has remained in North Dakota until we acquired it. We have done our best to describe this car accurately for you.

AS ALWAYS, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO WATCH OUR YouTube VIDEO FOR THE MOST DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THIS BUG!

Please call or text us at 312-420-3696 if you have any questions or comments.

Exterior:

The exterior presents well, free from rust or unsightly bodywork. While there are some dents, scratches, and touchups as expected for its age, it still looks quite good. It appears to have been resprayed within the last 25 years, with some mild overspray on the rubber trim. The paintwork is satisfactory and consistent. OEM glass is present throughout, with a replacement windshield noted. The trim and hardware kit are intact and in good condition, as are the bumpers, though some dry trim pieces could be replaced. The panel fitment is nice and consistent. The car still sports its original dealer badge. The tires are in good shape and perform well on the road. The lights appear largely original and function properly. There are some door dings on the right-hand side, likely from garage storage. Overall, this Beetle presents nicely and is ready to be enjoyed on the road and at events.

Interior:

The interior is in beautiful condition, with black vinyl seats looking fantastic both front and back. The carpets are in good condition, and the door panels and hardware look great. The dash is original, down to the non-functioning radio. The gauges work properly and look great. The headliner has some patched holes and could benefit from being redone at some point, though it is currently taut and acceptable. All switches work properly and are in good condition.

Underside:

The underside is solid and dry, with a small repaired spot under the battery tray area, likely from an older unsealed acid battery leak. The unibody is structurally sound from front to back. The engine bay is clean and tidy, featuring a replacement 1600cc 126 Industrial Flat 4. While we don't know when the engine was swapped, it appears professionally done.

On The Road:

Driving this Beetle is an absolute blast. It runs beautifully, free from smoke and excessive noise. It has good power, idles, and revs perfectly, with easy cold starts. The clutch feels great, and the transmission shifts smoothly between gears. Braking is good and straight, and the car tracks nicely, feeling safe and fun on the road.

Conclusion:

This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is a charming and well-preserved example of automotive history. With its solid mechanics, well-maintained interior, and appealing exterior, it offers a delightful driving experience. Whether you're a vintage car enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and reliable classic to enjoy on the road and at events, this Beetle is ready for its next adventure. Don't miss the opportunity to own this iconic piece of automotive heritage.
