The situation:

I bought this car as a delivery car, I drove this car for about a thousand miles. It developed a transmission issue, and since I didn't realize that the car was so rare when I bought it, I find that finding parts for this car is very difficult.

The Issues:

The transmission still pulls, but after a few miles, it quits pulling. If you let it sit for an hour or so, it will engage and pull again. I do not know what exactly is wrong with the transmission it could be a shifting solenoid or it could be low fluid ,(can't tell the transmission is sealed with no dipstick), or it could be something internal within the transmission.
The passenger side rear door has the child lock engaged, I don't know how to disengage it.
Also the car could use a good paint job, and the driver's side front seat has come undone at the seam.

These cars were only built for 1.5 to 2 years, by Holden out of Melbourne, Australia. Pontiac discontinued the G8 line in 2009. Holden closed it's doors in 2018.
This makes finding parts for these vehicles a bit daunting, but finding one of the rare cars a treasure to collectors.

This car has the 3.6 Ltr V-6 in it, and the engine performs quite well. They claim the engine cranks out 256 HP.

As for driving and handling, the car handles great, suspension and steering is tight, kinda like new, I feel as if most of the miles on the vehicle are highway miles. Only reason I'm not driving it is due to the transmission.

1-10

Engine 8-9
Suspension 7-8
Interior 6-7
AC Heat 8-9
Exterior 6-7
Electronics 8-9
Tires 6-7

All in all a great find for a collector or someone wanting a rare performance car.

The vehicle can be started and drove onto the delivery vehicle.
