1967 Pontiac GTO
Decoding the data plate reveals the following production information:
- Build Date: 11A – Assembled First Week of November
- Style: 67 24207 – 1967 two-door Sport Coupe
- Body: BAL 253 – Baltimore assembly number
- Trim: 223 – Black interior trim
- Paint: TT – Montego Cream
This 1967 Pontiac GTO sports coupe was refurbished under previous ownership with work involving a repaint, an interior re-trim, and installation of a six-speed manual transmission.
The car is finished in cream with a black roof and features stacked headlights, power windows, and a hood-mounted tachometer. On the inside, the seats are trimmed in black vinyl and accompanied by an AM/FM radio, air conditioning, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and Dakota Digital gauges.
Power is supplied by a 400ci V8 fitted with a Ram Air induction system, and further equipment include an aluminum radiator, a dual exhaust system, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and 14? American Racing–style wheels with redline tires.
This modified GTO is now offered in Holbrook, New York, with documentation from Pontiac Historic Services, spare parts, and a clean title.
The car left the factory finished in Montego Cream (T) and was repainted as part of the aforementioned refurbishment under previous ownership. It is fitted with a black vinyl roof and features chrome trim on the grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and rocker panels. Further details include stacked headlights, split front grilles, a hood scoop, and a hood-mounted tachometer. The selling dealer notes a rock chip on the right fender and bubbling on the trunk lid.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and accompanied by an aftermarket center console, dash topper and door panels. Additional appointments include an AM/FM radio and air conditioning along with power windows, billet door handles, and lap belts.
The 400ci V8 features a Ram Air induction system as well as an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. A billet pulley system, an aluminum radiator, and MSD ignition components have also been added.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission linked with a limited-slip rear differential. The transmission was installed under previous ownership along with the dual exhaust system, the latter of which features four-into-one headers, an H-pipe, and Flowmaster mufflers.
