I started with a RUST FREE 1978 Dodge Monaco Coupe with 48K original miles to create what SHOULD have been the 1978 Roadrunner based on the B-Body platform not the VOLARE/ASPEN platform.

This car has been REPAINTED in its original Wedgewood blue, 2 coats base, 3 coats clear then the 1975 Roadrunner stripe kit was added as was a 1978 Plymouth Fury grille.  The original white vinyl top is gone and the roof painted white.

Roadrunner lettering emblems are installed on both doors.  See the FIRST pic and zoom in.

Mechanically this car is perfect.  Rebuilt the original 48K 318 V8 to 340 specs, added an Edelbrock AVS2 on top of an original 340 manifold coupled to Speedmaster Heads.  Breathing through a Comp Cam 260 camshaft, double roller timing chain and gears, dual exhaust. Has LEEDS vacuum assisted brakes and a NEW booster.  Estimated HP is 290.

This is a column shift automatic, PS. PB, Tilt, A/C custom Roadrunner door panels and dash trim.  Dash has a small stress crack but I will include a matching color dash cap.  A/C works, aftermarket AM/FM/CD with speakers in kick panels and under the rear shelf.   Interior is excellent with blue velour seats, redyed to original color.  Headliner and trim all excellent.

To COMPLETE the conversion in the rear,  I am including NOS painted tail light extension housings, a NEW rear Fury/Roadrunner bumper and tail light lenses.  I planned on getting this done but health issues have side lined me for now which is why I am selling it.

Alot of love, sweat and swearing went into making this car what it is.   Whoever buys it will enjoy it.   I have well over $13,500 into the car but its always a labor of love not profit, at least for me

I JUST LOOKED!!--1975 Plymouth Roadrunner's even with the base 318 are bringing in the mid $20's.  You can have every bit as much fun with this clone that performs better than any 318 ever did for a fraction of the price with all the looks of "The Last of the B-Body Roadrunners"
