For Sale is a 1990 Nissan 300zx 2+2. The Z is in overall excellent condition, with a clean title, a long maintenance record, and low miles – only 58325. The Z has a 5-speed stick shift manual transmission paired to its naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 VG30DE engine. The Z has a white exterior and rare red tweed interior, both in beautiful shape, with only very minor flaws. The Z is fully loaded with all the options and has cold AC. The Z is lowered on high quality Powertrix Ultra Lite coilovers for a low ride and amazing handling. The Z has been mildly and tastefully modified for an overall OEM+ look.

I would ask that viewings are arranged in advance and payment is made shortly after purchasing, between 8/2-8/4. Viewing is available in 60067 most week days after 5PM and most times 7/27-7/28.

Please see additional details below, and pictures for any mentioned flaws.

Performance modifications: Stillen catback exhaust. Powertrix Ultra Lite coilovers. Dual MAF cold air intake (visible with nose panel removed).

Exterior: Cloud White paint in great condition for its age. Some minor rock chips on the front bumper, hood, and sideskirts, as to be expected. OEM bra included (it’s hideous). Bumpers/side skirts were re-striped (the black body line) by an excellent body shop a few years ago. There is no rush to be seen. The rear black plastic on the trunk lid is only barely faded (most are bright reddish-yellow).

Exterior modifications: Stillen GTZ front lip. Twin Z rear bumper. Twin Z roof spoiler. Shaved antenna. Removed rear wiper, filled hole with cap. Replaced rear sidemarkers with clear sidemarkers. Tinted front side markers and fog lights with film (still bright). Replaced all visible bulbs with LEDs.

Interior: Rare red tweed interior. It is absolutely stunning inside. Well maintained, with only minor spots of discoloration on armrests, and some small spots on the carpet. There is no notable wear to the seats. The plastic door handles and vent housings have faded to pinkish (normal). It’s also fully loaded with all the 1990 dealer options: Bose sound system, power drivers seatm digital climate control, electronic mirror, heated rear windshield. The Bose speaker grill bears some very minor wear. There is 1 small (penny-sized) hole in the black plastic lining of the ashtray (usually covered). The plastic in the trunk bears some minor scratches/nicks due to transporting things, and the in-trunk light cover is slightly damaged. The T-top bags, T-top shades, all the stock interior tools, etc are all in the car. The T-top vinyl was very recently readhered to fix sagging. The rear seat vinyl pieces were also replaced by a professional auto upholstery shop in an excellently-matching fabric; due to the original vinyl aging/shrinking, it was impossible to readhere it properly.

Interior modifications:

Replaced stock head unit with a Kenwood USB/CD unit; it was awesome when I replaced in ~2016. It could probably use an upgrade. Cleanly wired for a subwoofer. 20% tints on all windows (not the windshield, nor the T-tops). Cabin lights replaced with LEDs. Added black plasic trim rings to gauges. There are small holes drilled into the trim pieces in the trunk that sit over the strut mounts to allow for easily adjusting the coilovers with an allen key. The holes have flushmount rubber plugs in them.

Maintenance: Maintenance by the first owner (until ~17000 miles) was completed by the dealership. Maintenance by the second owner was mostly completed by the dealership, with some completed by the owner (a former high school autos teacher). I did the vast majority of maintenance myself, and recorded what was completed. The car runs and drives beautifully. Of note/recently (beyond what’s mentioned above):

Tons more maintenance records available upon purchase or just ask me about certain things.

Accidents: The Z has a clean title. The previous owner experienced a minor fender bender, but the damage was not noticeable when I purchased. I experienced one minor accident in 2014 as well: While parked, it was side swiped on the rear passenger side. The quarter panel was professionally repaired by A&L Body Shop in Palatine, IL (PROS!). At that time, they also shaved the antenna hole per my request, and painted the aftermarket rear bumper, front lip, and window spoiler so they would all match.

I, and the Z’s previous owner, truly loved and babied this car. Please ask me about anything else you’re curious about. Thanks for looking.
