About this vehicle
This 1968 Mercury Cougar is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. While it does posses a clean title, we can’t seem to get it from the old owners mother who sold it on his behalf as the benefactor of his estate (he passed away). Car will come with a bill of sale.Seller's Notes
If you decide to buy, I’d say bring a trailer unless you live in the vicinity of Union county. Again, the temp gauge starts to climb after like 10 minutes and we just don’t have an interest to figure out why but it seems like a common issue and should be an easy fix on such a spacious engine bay layout.Vehicle Details
Selling this 1968 Mercury Cougar. I am creating this post for my girlfriend as she does not have an eBay account!
It is a 68 that got repainted by the previous owner to a later year Cougar color. Looks great with some signs of age. Interior is very clean as well. No tears or anything in the seats. Steering wheel looks clean. Sounds great and is a very smooth driver. Mechanically, it’s very sound except for some reason, it’s sprung a little coolant leak out of the bottom of the overflow hose after like 10 minutes of driving. Apparently it’s an easy fix(?) but my girlfriend literally bought it last summer as a third car but ended up driving her other two cars in the meantime so this just sat and has been sitting since roughly October or 2023. We’ve started it here and there to make sure it isn’t just rotting away.
Also, I had created a post before claiming it was an XR7. It is not! I was wrong and misinformed.
