1976 Corvette Stingray Coupe Special Order Black on Black 

This is one of the nine ’76 Corvettes that were ordered with the “SPEC” (Special) paint code to be delivered to the dealer in primer or a “non-standard” color. Black was not offered as a standard color for C3's from 1970 through 1976. The car runs, rides, shifts, steers and stops smoothly. The brake pads and rotors are in near-new condition. The frame and birdcage are straight and rust-free. The exhaust system is true-dual with headers feeding twin Walker Dynamax mufflers. Radio and all gauges (exc. clock) work. Windshield and window glass are clear and crack-free. Black paint is very good with minor imperfections. Interior is very good w/one small tear in leather on side of passenger seatback. This car has only 56K original miles.

HVAC system needs work - Compressor and condenser have been removed; fan works but heat control doesn’t

Rubber bushings in steering and suspension are solid but showing their age (cracks)

Anti-theft alarm has been removed

Small impression in right-front frame from driving over a curb

Interior HVAC plastic vents have lost some of their chrome paint

Seat belt retractor under passenger seat won’t retract

Original urethane rear bumper has been replaced with a fiberglass ’80-’82 version
