This is a really solid project car that has spent its entire life in California. It still bears (and is titled with) its original blue/yellow California license plates. It has been sitting in a barn in Riverside for approximately 10 years. It was parked strictly for lack of use. The previous owner said the engine was rebuilt, but it is not verified. The engine fires up, runs (using starting fluid) and sounds very healthy-see the video. The fuel in the tank is old and will need to be drained before driving the car. The lights and other electrical are working.
The engine is the original 1971 350 (see block stamping "481990" photo) and the transmission is a TH350.
The body has some areas of light bondo, mostly in the doors (approx 1/8"). It was unnecessary-a lazy bodyman/painter skimmed them instead of taking the dings out. The left rear lower 1/4 panel appears to have had some body work on the outer skin. See photo of the inner panel that is straight and solid. As you can see by the photos, the rear window and the trunk are excellent and rust free. Also see the underside photos and lack of rust.
The car is complete and has a few extra parts-a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and the original valve covers.
This car is sold in as-is condition with a running engine, needing restoration.
