This 1968 Oldsmobile 442 is a Holiday Coupe with factory 400 ci / 4 speed with the original numbers matching drivetrain and just 61,000 miles and believed to have never been opened. The engine was recently tuned and oil changed. The carburetor was replaced and is fully rebuilt and correct for the '68 Olds 400 (auto trans version). The motor runs strong and the car is solid and straight on the highway.
The body features an Ivory exterior (believed to have had only one respray in the 1990's), and brand new Ivy Gold bucket seat and console interior, including seat covers, door panels, headliner, dash pad, steering wheel, package tray, carpet, door sill pates, door, roof rail and trunk weather-stripping, interior LED lights, color coded seat belts and a new windshield. Note, the original dashpad had no center A/C vent as was the norm for non-air Cutlass in 1968. I replaced with a restored A/C car dashpad and vents assuming the car would eventually have air conditioning added. The is a non air car from the factory.
The factory AM/FM stereo has been remanufactured using digital components and features Bluetooth connectivity. The dash board uses aluminum Olds 98 switchgear for a very upscale look to the headlight and wiper pulls, lighter and radio controls. There is a brand new "TicTocTac" digital tach and clock gauge along with oil pressure, water temp and fuel gauge setup. It seats up to 5 passengers and has a 4 speed manual transmission with the original Hurst shifter.
The car has been well-maintained and I believe I am the 4th owner. I was told owner #2 had the car from 1971 to 2019. The car comes complete with the original title and owner's manual with Protect-O-Plate. The Florida vehicle title is clean. This Oldsmobile wears its original body panels with no evidence of collision damage. The suspension has been restored with new springs and shocks, 17" X 8" aluminum SSII style wheels and Conti Sport tires, front end components, brake pads, bearings and rubber lines. It also has a new gas tank.
I went through receipts on this car and stopped at about $50k. All work on this car has been done by a professional musclecar restoration shop in my area.
