Vehicle Details

This is a pristine 1988 560 SL bought out of an estate sale in Daytona Fl. It has 58K original miles all documented by title and Carfax. All original paint and chrome the only item replaced is the leather on the seats. The leather is OEM Mercedes European Leather and was replaced about 500 miles ago. Door panels and the rest of interior is all original. Everything works perfectly on the vehicle down to the electric mirror control and cigarette lighter. All of the services to include oil changes were completed by franchise Mercedes dealership and date and mileage are shown on Carfax and the dealer that completed the service. The vehicle was stored for 33 years in heated, air conditioned and humidified garage. When the vehicle was purchased by me it was completely gone over by a certified Mercedes mechanic from bumper to bumper all seals, gaskets etc needing service were replaced including completely new brakes and complete service as recommended by Mercedes. The AC blows Ice cold and temperature control works perfect. The vehicle has been sitting in my garage for 6 months and there is not any type of any fluid with one drop on the floor. It rides and drives pretty much like a new vehicle and has been babied its whole life. There are two scratch spots on the car less than the size of half a dime each that need touched up no dent, no rust. I did not fix them because I wanted to sell the vehicle as 100% original paint. It has the upgraded Becker stereo system and that needs to be sent to Becker and they charge $225 to remove the system code that freezes the radio with the anti-theft system if the battery is disconnected, and they also permanently delete the code. The upgraded radio was an $1800 option, and it has leather not MB tex. Chrome, embems etc are in excellent and original state. The wheels have been polished to a shiny aluminum finish but there is an additional set of AMG wheels available at extra cost. If you are looking for the car that will run another 300K this is the one. The only reason I am selling is that I am now stuck with a walker and it will not fit in the car with the hardtop on or the convertible top is up. It comes with the matching hardtop and cover for top and wheeled storage cart for hardtop. The vehicle was stored with the hardtop off and the ragtop up so it is in excellent shape. The headliner in the hard top has some slight staining but can easily be fixed by dying the fabric at any local upholstery shop. The tires are brand new, and the vehicle has been freshly aligned. I will consider trades up or down for other classics, late model trucks, Compact diesel tractor late model with attachments but I would prefer cash. I am a North Carolina Dealer but I bought this car for a personal vehicle. I am just getting too old to keep up with my toys. Original owner was 85 years old when he passed. When I retired out of the military and got into business for myself this was the vehicle that meant you had arrived. I had a 1984 380 SL because all the 560's were pre-sold before arriving in the states. Just trying to relive a part of my past but I want the vehicle to go to someone who will enjoy it.
