Up for bid with NO RESERVE is a 1989 Dodge Caravan SE with the factory 2.5L turbocharged engine! Yes, a factory turbo in a minivan! They only made the turbo Caravans (and Plymouth Voyager) for 1989 and 1990. This van has 183,063 miles on the odometer. It runs well, drives pretty nice, the turbocharger spools up (it's awesome listening to it come out of a van), and stops fine. Brakes and tires are in decent shape although the tires are a bit older. The radiator, front wiper blades, and fuel filter were just replaced with new ones and it has fresh coolant and an oil change done. The seats are in decent shape for the age, there's a small hole in the driver outer bolster, but they're comfortable. 5 seat model which isn't common at all! Cruise control works! Tilt steering wheel! Power door locks as well (the sliding door one works when it wants) which is a nice feature. Headliner fabric was removed at some point in time. A/C compressor was also removed at some point in time because it failed. Rear hatch release and the rear wiper/washer work! Hatch needs new lift supports to hold itself up. The body is in okay shape for being in the midwest it's whole life. Typical rocker panel rot and rear wheel well rust spots that these all get if they're driven in the salt. Doors and hatch are in pretty nice shape. Please watch the video for a walk around and a test drive!

This van would make an excellent project to make nice again. It would be an excellent work van if you weren't worried about the appearance as much... It's been off the road for at least four years so a good going through is highly recommended before returning it to active duty. Our plans were to turn it into a really nice old van for cruising but my buddy wants to move up this way and I need to pay off some other stuff so that project is on indefinite hold. Rather find the van a home than let it sit even longer than it has before we got it. It's being sold AS-IS as the factory warranty expired back in 1992.

It really should be towed or shipped to it's new home since it has been off the road for several years so please don't expect to drive it across the country.
