This magnificent 1965 Backdraft Racing Cobra 427 is finished in CLASSIC Guardsman Blue, and topped off with period correct Wimbledon white over the top stripes. While many of our Backdraft Cobras are finished in exotic colors with blackout trim, this particular Cobra is dressed with the classic polished and stainless look to brighten up the exterior and compliment the retro finish.
Under the hood, this Cobra follows the classic performance car approach with a twist; not only is this Cobra powered by a 427 cubic inch V8, but this powerhouse is a fresh unit direct from the experts at ROUSH, and this the the 427R making 550 horsepower! Connected to the 427r is a robust Tremec TKX600 5 speed manual transmission, and managing the release of exhaust while creating beautiful music is a set of side exit stainless ceramic headers with stainless heat shields.
In the cockpit you'll find beautiful simplicity, as we special ordered this brand new unit with classic Autometer "OEM" style gauges including a reverse sweeping speedometer. Mirrors, roll hoop, shifter and knob etc are are finished in stainless, with a wood trimmed wheel and Cam Lock style seatbelts.
This Cobra is a get in and go thrillride, simple to drive and like nothing else out on the road.
