Manufactured in June'98 this Porsche 911 Carrera 996 was imported to the United States in 2023 from Japan with only 53,000 miles and it now has 54200 miles and is my daily driver. The miles will increase slightly. This 996 first generation water cooled 911 Carrera features iron coated pistons and dual-row IMSB. Buy with confidence. Hankook Ventus 18" tires and 996.2 upgraded two-part rims. Original R17 rims and set of used none matching tires will be included in the sale. I have records for the parts which I installed all done by myself. 4 Rotors; 4 break pads; Performance oil by Red Line and new Oil filter; Air filter; Ignition Coils and spark plugs; Flashed and replaced Coolant. I also removed tint from the back windows restoring original look. All removed parts will go with the car to a new owner including hood and right fender. I am upgrading for 996 Turbo x50 and need to clear garage. 996.1 has recently been feature during Porsche's presentation of new hybrid 911, it's such an iconic car.Vehicle Details
This June'98 Manufactured Porsche 911 Carrera is a left-hand-drive Japanese-market coupe that was imported to the United States in 2023, and it now has 54200 miles, it's my daily driver the miles will go up slightly. This is equivalent of USA market 1999 model year 996 911 carrera 2. It has emission equipment code C08 for Japan market (USA code is C2). Finished in recently corrected Vesuvio Metallic over Graphite Gray supple leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.4-liter M96 flat-six paired with a five-speed automatic transaxle. This early 996.1 model has minimum electronics, equipped with cable throttle, basic traction control, and limited ABS controlled slip differential. The original car dealer in Japan installed sports suspension upgrade by TODA Racing lowering the Carrera by about 2 1/2 inches. The reliable tiptronic transmission provides amazing driving experience. IMS baring failure and bore scoring are vitually non-issues on these early 3.4L cars. The pistons are iron coated and the IMSB is a dual-row. Buy with confidence this exceptionally well preserved original modern classic priced under 20k.
