Thank you for viewing my auction. I am selling this GT500 for a good friend and customer of many years who's husband passed away. I am friends of her whole family, even the kids and grandkids. Great family. They bought this Shelby new and have loved it as one of their family. They are a longtime Shelby family and asked me to list this car for them as I know the car well and did all the upgrades on it over the years. It has just gotten overwhelming for them to maintain so many vehicles, so this one needs to find a new loving home. I will list the upgrades and options further down in the listing. They purchased the car in Canada and it is one of less than 10 GT500's to be built in MI and then shipped to Canada. It meets all 50 state US and Canada emissions and safely standards, so the car can go anywhere, basically. Right after purchasing, they had clear bra PPF (Paint Protection Film) installed professionally on the full front bumper, full fenders, full hood, both mirror caps, both windshield pillar, both rockers, and full rear bumper to protect from road rash. Car was used primarily for summer shows in Western Canada and US which is where all of the 44K miles came from (71K kilometers). Odometer reads in both kilometers and miles through the cluster settings as well as all other settings of US and metric. The first trip they took the car on was to my automotive shop in Palm Springs CA that specialized in Shelby's as I built others for them prior. The car is optioned with every option available on the 2013 Shelby GT500 except for the Shaker Pro subwoofer. They didn't want that as the subwoofer takes up precious trunk space which makes it harder to fit luggage in the truck for trips and golf clubs!! So YES!! It has the SVT 821A Performance Package, the SVT Track Package, the Electronics Package with Navigation and built in music storage, and the incredible Recaro seats. You can find online what these options include which are all very desirable options as you get the best of the best as far as 6 piston Brembo brakes, adjustable shocks and struts, and other goodies that were not included on the base GT500 with out these options. Original window sticker is included as well as the Bill of Sale from the dealership for a whopping $83,333.60 Canadian after taxes! Car also has had the airbag recall performed with paperwork and the extra  (you had to order and pay for after the end of the model year) SVT certificate showing this car is #23 of the 87 Red Candy Metallic Shelby GT500 convertibles produced in 2013. 808 convertibles and 4077 coupes were built. If you factor in this cars options, I imagine it is most likely a 1 of 1. You can order a Marti Report to have it broken down by every option. 

Here are the upgrades my shop performed in April, 2014. Some to improve factory shortcomings, some for increased predictability/reliability/better handling/efficiency/power as they wanted this to be a perfectly balanced  road car for long trips with no worries:

- Terlingua Racing Team rear quarter panel decals to match GT500 stripes and fender decals. These were done as we often attended an event in Terlingua, Texas where Bill Neale and Carroll Shelby owned property. You can research further, but this car has been to several of the Terlingua events. Easily removable if you don't like them. 

- VMP air intake filter and resonator delete. Cleanable filter and added power and efficiency

- VMP tune with SCT tuner. Boosts power from 662 HP & 631 FT/LBS to over 700 HP & 670FT/LBS, better fuel mileage and smoother power curve. Remember, the 2013 GT500 was the first production Mustang that was a 200 MPH car stock!!   

- Ford Racing 3.73 gears. Makes much better use of power and efficiency where you can better use all 6 of the gears

- SPEC billet Twin SS clutch. Factory clutch is known to be problematic, so we changed to this at 12K miles to not have to worry about poor factory clutch failing. Very smooth and these last well over 100K miles if you drive properly. 

-H&R lowering springs. Better stance and handling and works with factory adjustable Bilstein shocks and struts. 

-Steeda billet lower control arms, relocation brackets and adjustable upper arm and mount. Huge improvement in handling, hook up, cornering, and less brake dive. 

- Maximum Motorsports adjustable panhard bar.  Better handling, cornering and keeps the rear diff cantered.

- Shelby American brushed aluminum dead pedal. Protects carpet from wear where you rest your left foot when not using clutch pedal

- Shelby American black billet gas tank door. Just looks cool!! 

- Shelby American indoor car cover in red with black stripes. Beautiful custom fit car cover that fits every contour of the car. Has been used every time car was freshly cleaned/detailed and put in the garage after each trip.  

- Love The Drive windscreen. Makes the wind not mess your hair up with it up and windows up, It is amazing and you can still talk on the phone with out the wind buffering and noise too! Easy 5 min install and removal and folds up to fit in trunk. No holes drilled. plugs into rear seat belts!! Every convertible needs one of these!!.

- Ford Racing GT500KR short throw shifter. Makes shifts more precise and keeps you from missing a shift. The stock shifter is known to be clunky and binds when shifting quickly. 

- Shelby American console plaque. Etched with Carroll Shelby's signature and the VIN of the car. This had to be ordered from Shelby American with a donation to the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation 

- SVT certificate with VIN and build #. Had to be ordered and purchased from SVT showing production #

- Extra lower SVT PP front splitter included with sale that has never been installed

- All fluids and filters since new have been changed way before needed with either OEM Ford or Royal Purple. Car has new battery within the past year as well as new Carlite Ford OEM windshield installed with pony as original got a rock chip in it. 

 

After being disappointed by all the other performance cars out there and looking at this one, please feel free to message me. This Shelby is exceptionally nice from top to bottom!! Any other collector vehicle you may be looking at, make sure they have underside shots. Even super low mileage vehicles, if stored in humid area, the undersides are rusty and corroded just from the moist air. This one is super clean and the many underside pictures show this. Each time it has been driven to a show road trip, it was put on a lift and detailed underneath, inside and outside then parked in their heated garage and Shelby American custom fit red/black stripe custom fit car cover put on it until its' next outing, You can see all the original tags, stickers, paint marks, chalk markings etc in the engine box and underside. This Shelby GT500 is as solid and amazing as can be! I am sure you won't find another like it, or even close!! It has never been raced, abused, or driven by kids. This is a Buy It Now auction and it will sell and you will not find another like it for such a great price and OCD maintenance and well planned upgrades since new. Price is a Buy it Now of $54,999 to sell immediately. This Shelby GT500  is priced to sell and is nicer than any other exotic vehicles out there for sale under $100K. These Shelby GT500's are usually abused, beat and hard to find. Most 12-14 Shelby GT500's in the past few years have actually been going UP in value. They were the last GT500's to have a 6 speed manual transmission. The new ones are only available with an automatic. I can usually get vehicles shipped with in a few days from my door to yours.  Car has to be paid for in full before it leaves. You will not be disappointed with this Shelby over the others out there. The lower priced ones will surely cost you a lot more money and have higher miles or low miles and not stored correctly. In the long run, any other still wont be as nice of a car as this one is already, plus such a provenance and all these options and well planned extras. Car is very smooth and easy to drive and all fresh maintenance, filters, and all fluids done for you so you can drive and enjoy right away unlike the others you will surely have to put money in right away. This 6 speed Tremec 6060 manual transmission is smooth as butter when driving normal and neck snapping shifts when you romp on it. Sounds great with the stainless quad tip exhaust. Your wife could drive it and enjoy it too!! It is easy to start, drive, park and drive on the freeway. Even the pickiest of people will be more than happy with this car. It is safe, reliable, fun and powerful.  Has very few flaws, much less than you would expect for an 11 year old vehicle. One rear wheel has a minor scuff from when the new Michelin Pilot Sport tires were installed 10K miles ago. The tire shop scuffed the 1 wheel. Very minor, but I am mentioning anything I can think off. See picture. Very little road rash or flaws in the paint as it has PPF as explained before. There is a scuff on the driver's side rear bumper in the clear bra PPF from some person that scuffed it in a parking lot. It is only in the PPF and didn't damage the paint. There are a couple pits on the original matte black stripes as the PPF cant cover those as it would make them shiny. Any sign shop or decal shop could duplicate those if they bothered you. Very hard to see. Never any accidents or paint work. No dents or dings. Always hand washed and waxed and never in a machine car wash. No taxes, document fees, or games like other charge, collect, and play. This car will sell, don't miss out, you will never find another like it in this condition and so immaculate. No expenses spared on this Shelby GT500 from top to bottom, and front to back since new. It has been maintained and driven properly. Everything functions like it is supposed to. In my 30+ years in the automotive business, I have very rarely seen, owned, or driven a nicer built and well sorted vehicle that is so fantastically maintained and taken care of. I have owned over 1000 Mustangs, Shelby's, Big Block's, Boss's, Pantera's, Saleen's, Corvette's, Camaros, Roush's, Cobra's. Lightning's etc, mostly collector models, and rarely see a vehicle (of ANY type) kept in this condition. I am overly fanatical with all my cars, but rarely see others that are like me. I have over 20 cars in my personal collection and do not like to sell any of them, but when I do, the person that purchases what I'm selling gets the best of the best, hands down. If I didn't have so many cars in my collection, I would buy this one as it is so immaculate, rare, fast, and fun. I just don't have space for more vehicles. Suspension and steering is smooth and not bouncy or twitchy when driving down the road, or on the freeway and handles beautifully. Does not wander when on freeway. This Shelby GT500 is appraised and insured for $75K on a collector car policy through Hagerty Collector Car Insurance and it is $935 per year for full coverage and agreed value of $75K with no mileage limitations when in the US. Most insurance companies will do the same for you and insure it as a collector vehicle and it is only going to continue to climb in value if kept in this condition. In summary: EVERYTHING works properly as intended. Freshly detailed and waxed. It is immaculate from top to bottom and front to back. All fresh fluids and filters from front to back. No burnt out bulbs anywhere, the dash lights, gauges, all work perfectly and are accurate. You can let it idle all day in 100+ degree heat and it does not get hot. The A/C and heat work perfect. Nothing leaks or seeps. No wear on any buttons or switches. This 700+ HP Shelby GT500 is a blast to drive and is beautiful. It runs and drives excellent and has never been abused or driven by kids. There are no odd odors, odd rattles, or odd noises. Transmission has no grinds or pop outs. It can sit for 2 weeks and it drips nothing. Door close solid with a thump. You can drive this car anywhere, anytime. It is reliable and easy to drive. Mileage may also vary minimally as car may be driven for supervised test drives and/or inspections and it is started and driven after letting it warm up to keep fluids flowing through all systems every 3 weeks at least. Car will still be kept indoors when not being driven. Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer promptly. This Shelby GT500 doesn't need a thing to enjoy right away. It is a no excuse, honest performance car, that needs nothing to use it and enjoy immediately. It is maintained right and completely sorted from top to bottom, front to back. The paint color combination, upgrades, and options are simply stunning and it turns heads where ever you go. People stop at stop lights and gas stations and make comments on how clean and great sounding it is. It is a steal at under $60K! Nothing even compares to this car for under $100K!!
